Free Social Activities for Adults with Disabilities

Bring your loved one to one of our upcoming family programs for adults with learning disabilities and see for yourself the power of togetherness. Newcomers always welcome; just show up!

L’Arche St. Louis hosts several public events throughout the year. Our Community Nights and seasonal family programs for adults with learning disabilities or developmental delays are fun and interactive, allowing space for confidence building, cultivating relationships, and for caregivers to build support networks with others navigating similar life stages.

The Importance of Social Activities for Adults with Disabilities

Community is key to happiness, yet for many adults with intellectual or developmental differences, true community is hard to come by, especially outside of immediate family. L’Arche St. Louis believes everyone deserves to feel a sense of belonging and togetherness, but unfortunately, we can only accommodate a small fraction of what is a robust and growing population in our group homes. (Learn how we are expanding our services on our campaign page: Everyone Belongs.) Nonetheless, we are committed to creating more safe spaces and offering accessible social activities for adults with disabilities to develop relationships, experience joy and acceptance, and ultimately feel welcome for who they really are.
