Midwest Regional Gathering

Last week, nineteen members of our community caravanned up to Chicago to spend several days at the L’Arche Midwest Regional Gathering! They spent time with folks from L’Arche communities in Kansas City, Chicago, Clinton, the Twin Cities, Michiana, and Northern Colorado.

Each community had a chance to be in the spotlight. Our Core Members and Assistants shared about their homes, favorite activities, what they like to cook, and our plans for the future! They also had the chance to perform in a talent show - Kurt and Kristin danced an Irish jig together!

Folks enjoyed meals together, Richard spent time in the dorm lobby greeting everyone as they came through, and Edward shared the secrets behind his famous pickle recipe.

Community members visited Lake Michigan and Shedd Aquarium!
