Edward in the office… with Amy!

At L’Arche St. Louis, our office team is made up of folks focused on programs, operations, finances, development, HR, outreach, and everything in between. This year, Edward’s been sitting down with each team member to find out how they all work to support our mission of inclusion and belonging as well as learning some fun facts!

Today, the spotlight is on our Office Administrator and Bookkeeper, Amy. Here’s what Edward found out!

Edward: What do you do at L’Arche?
Amy: I help make sure all the bills are paid and everything is accounted for in our financial software. I am also responsible for managing all the accounting for everything going in and out of our checking account.

Edward: What is your favorite part about L’Arche?
Amy: My favorite part about L’Arche is the great community of people who all value the same mission; the mission being treating all people with respect and dignity and making everyone feel like they belong.

Edward: What do you like to do in your free time?
Amy: I like to spend my free time reading, playing games, doing yoga, visiting friends and family, and exploring fun things to do in St. Louis. I also enjoy activities that get me outside, like traveling, hiking, going on walks, and gardening.

Edward: What's the coolest animal you have ever seen in real life?
Amy: My pet cat, CoCo :) Or bison, those are pretty cool too.

Edward wears many hats in the L’Arche St. Louis community. He works in the office every Monday as our Chief People Officer, supporting staff recruitment, development, outreach, and whatever else is needed. Edward enjoys playing softball, riding bikes, listening to country music, and making his famous pickle recipe!
