Meet Our Board President

Gregory Anderson is president of the L’Arche St. Louis Board of Directors. Greg has been a lawyer since 2006 and was first introduced to L’Arche in 2018. During that year, he felt that there was more he could be doing with his time and skills. He proceeded to reach out to his aunt, Margaret, who was involved with L’Arche St. Louis as a social worker. He began by asking her if she knew anyone at L’Arche who was in need of legal advice. His aunt ended up going to Paula to discuss the possibility of Greg joining the board. Greg was invited to visit Sunrise House to get a feel for the mission behind the L’Arche community. After that, he decided that L’Arche St. Louis was something he’d like to help support. He then joined the board in 2018 as a general member, later becoming secretary, then Board Chair.

Greg admires L’Arche St. Louis for the caring, genuine bonds between the Core Members, staff, and assistants. He is grateful for everyone he has worked with and their commitment to L’Arche’s mission. It warms his heart to know so many people want to play a role in building a more inclusive future.
